In a pleasant little house at 9 N. Park St. sits BeLiz MedSpa, a medical spa opened by Becky Oliver and Liz Sellers almost two years ago that offers medical skin care and more.

The two are registered nurses and decided they wanted to do something different.

“We wanted to get out of the hospital setting and do something fun, and we felt like our community would benefit from more of a medical spa-type setting,” Oliver said.

Sellers and Oliver’s combined medical experience of 50 years allows the business partners to offer treatments that set them apart from a regular spa.

“A medical spa is different from a regular spa in terms of the treatments we provide are more for skin correction,” Oliver said. “We do laser hair reduction, chemical peels, Botox and dermal fillers, things of that nature where we are required to have a license or certification.”

The medical spa offers a variety of services, but its customers have their favorites.

“Microneedling is our most popular one, but the ThermiVa is probably our best client satisfier,” Oliver said. “Women are going crazy for ThermiVa because it is such a great treatment for feminine health.”

Microneedling is a procedure that rejuvenates skin by helping it produce collagen and elastin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and acne scars.

“The most unique treatment that we offer is ThermiVA, a feminine rejuvenation,” Oliver said. “So that is really great for overactive bladders or stress incontinence.”

The treatment is unique to the region, Oliver said.

According to the company’s website, ThermiVa is a non-invasive vulvovaginal application that uses radio frequency energy to help restore and firm up tissue.

“There is not another ThermiVA in the Four Corners area. That is something that is really unique to our practice, but it is also unique to our area because no one else has one.”

MedSpa also offers a variety of other services such as facials, teeth-whitening, laser hair reduction and chemical peels. MedSpa’s sclerotherapy helps eliminate spider veins in customers’ legs.

BeLiz is also available for parties, which are especially fun for Oliver.

“We do have the opportunity to host parties ... if girls want to get together and do an event like a bridal shower where the girls get facials and teeth-whitening,” Oliver said. “Those are really fun.”

BeLiz Med Spa is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends by appointment.
